How to save a movie file stored in RAM

By ramsin32 ·
Hello Friends,
I have a question to ask. I am trying to save a movie file (quicktime) which is streamed from internet but then it is saved in RAM only. I would like to snatch and save the movie file from memory. The video file is there as long as computers is on.

Is there a software or other method ( where for example xp store the file somewhere) that I can use to save these files.

By the way the file is not in internet temperary folder. It used to be that quicktime movie where saved in temp folder but now they are stored in RAM.

Any wise imput is greatly appreicated.

Sometimes, you will find a copy of the file stored in your temporary internet files folder.

You can also right click on the link, and try saving the target as.

Usually, you need a "stream capture" utility.

The link that I had for a stream capture tool is dead.

I tried using a shareware utility called snag-it for this purpose. It used to be able to save movies in avi format, I would think they have other formats in newer versions.

www.snag-it.com

Best of luck.
