How to solve MacBook Pro Freezing During Video Editing Sessions

Hey, MacRumors community,

I’m having an issue with my MacBook Pro where it freezes unexpectedly during video editing sessions. This problem occurs particularly when I’m using Final Cut Pro along with other applications like Photoshop and Safari. The freezing usually starts after about 20-30 minutes of working, making the system unresponsive and forcing me to restart the MacBook Pro to get it working again. I’ve checked the Activity Monitor, and although the overall CPU and memory usage is high, there isn’t any single app that seems to be hogging all the resources. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it?

First yes to anyone experiencing the problem. It can be clogged vents, heatsinks that need cleaning or more. It’s rarely software.

I defer to youtube about the exact steps but keeping the laptop cool is important. Age matters too. If it’s old and tired you replace it.
