You do not need a password to delete it.....

Just download a Anti-virus and run it in dos mode..

But if you like you can try it from Safe Mode, but the software will find the Virus and delete it for you from DOS mode. With any software please, please read the instructions.

You can password protect the configuration settings (different from your account user/password) for what levels of protection are running on the virus scanner, and if you're attempt to change settings or do an uninstall it will prompt you for that password if you set one up.

But you have to go through extra steps to set it up. Someone went through the trouble to make sure the settings didn't get messed with. So if you're wanting to update NOD32 to its latests version, just run the new installer it will update without prompting you.

But if you need to uninstall for whatever other reason, you can contact ESET with your account info and I'm sure they'd be happy to help.
