how to unistall IE

is it possible to completely remove internet explorer from my computer?

Well depending on what version of Windows you have

In XP it can be removed by clicking on Start, Control Panel, Add Remove Programs and then on the Window that opens left clicking on Add/Remove Windows Components and unticking the IE Entry.

Then click on next and follow the prompts.

I'm not sure that it Totally removes it but it will remove the vast majority of it. After all this is Windows we are talking about here.

Depends on your definition of "completely" and "internet explorer".

Much of IE is simply Windows Explorer, so in that sense, no.

But you sure can uninstall it and delete the IE folder from Program Files.

However, if you use the Microsoft websites for much of anything, you may find that certain parts are unusable without IE.
