Outlook Express E-Mail Setup

Double-click on the Outlook Express icon on your desktop. If you do not have an Outlook Express icon on your desktop, then click on:

Start | Programs | Internet Explorer | Outlook Express.

If neither the icon or the menu selection is present do the following:

Double-click on My Computer.
Double-click on Control Panel.
Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
Click on the Windows Setup tab, scroll down until you see the Microsoft Outlook Express entry.
If you don't see Microsoft Outlook Express then you may have to download it from Microsoft's Download Center
Click on the Microsoft Outlook Express to select it. A check mark should appear in the box.
Click on OK. You may be asked for your Windows Installation CD and/or to restart your computer. Close any of the open windows.
Once your computer restarts, double-click on the Outlook Express icon on your desktop.

The Internet Connection Wizard for Setting up Internet Mail should appear.

If the wizard does not appear, click on Tools, and then Accounts. From the Internet Accounts menu that appears, click on Add, and then Mail.

In the Internet Connection Wizard continue with the following:

Click on Create a new Internet mail account, then click Next.

Type your name in the Display name: field, then click on Next.

Enter your full e-mail address (your_user_name@davlin.net) in the E-mail address: field, then click Next.

Make sure POP3 is selected under My incoming mail server is.
Type mail.davlin.net in the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server field.

Type smtp.davlin.net in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field.

Click on Next.

Enter your username in the Account name: field, and then enter your password into the Password field. You may select Remember Password so you will not be prompted for the password each time you check your mail. Click on Next.
