How to use perl command

I?m using the per comando in this way:

perl -i.new -p -e ‘s/\|O\|/|0|/ig’ bck_cust.txt
perl -i.new -p -e ‘s/\|S\|/|1|/ig’ bck_cust.txt

The first line replace a 0 instead of and O
The second line replace a 1 instead of a S

?? How can I make it to do it in just one line instead o two !?
