Nice introduction to BGP.
However, the writer seemed to fail to tie in how using public BGP servers/routers could help him in the exampled problem.
Specificaly, how does one use the public BGP servers/routers to determine the BGP path that hisprovider takes to the problem website? Or the return path? I can only see how it would show the path from the public server/router to the problem website.
If it is just the ISP info you want, why not use something like 3dtraceroute that does reverse lookups on the IP trace, then us a whois on the domain name to get your info?
