HP customer service/warrenty

I recently purchased a PC from a retailer and had the H/D fail and replaced.The replacement H/D makes ;what I think excessive noise when reading data I know little about PC technology;however am hungry to learn);please excuse my ignorance.I have made many attempts to resolve this concern;and as I learn ;realize ths symptoms displayed by the replacement H/D are not charcteristic of the PC that was demo'd to me prior to purchasing it.I would like to know if there is any approach I can take as an unsatisfied purchaser of this product.I purchased the PC for it's quiet;reliable functions.Since the H/D has been replaced the PC has had several software issues;that I suspect originate with the H/D.Unfortunatly diag. tests preformed at the sevice provider and HP online fine no fault with the H/D;saying "noisy H/D's are a fact of life". Appreciate any help. Jerry
