    HP pavilion 15 dw hard not found

    Dear all, When I install fresh windows to my hp laptop the hard is not found, I solved the problem by loading drive from the wizard and life is good. However when I want to install system image recovery there is no load drive option in the wizard, how to make the hard discoverable?

      If so, use anything else. After decades of seeing Microsoft backup apps fail, I’m going to write they are garbage. Get something else.

          Nod to Acronis, Easeus. Backups are key. Folk tend to make a full system backup so they don’t have to start over then follow up with files they can’t lose because of a specific scenario. Which one? Let’s say the PC/laptop is lost in a tornado. You can’t easily restore to a new PC so beyond the full image backup you need your files and if you have specific programs then install media and the necessary keys to install.

          Backups are not trivial today. As some say “we only lose what we don’t backup.”

      You post is rather unclear:
      – what is a hard
      – what is is the drive you loaded
      – what is “loading a drive”
      – what is “the wizard”
      – what is “installing a recovery”
      – what is the second wizard

      Other questions:
      – What version of Windows?
      – Where did the fresh Windows come from?

        – “Load drive” is an option you found in the drive allocation step
        – Wizard of Windows 10 installation media
        – When you make a clone Image of your hard so you can pass on to same
        model laptops

        – Second wizard is the system image recovery from Microsoft installation media
