HP Pavilion dv5000 laptop

My laptop says this now when i turn it on it wont let me do anything it just goes straight to this.what does this mean exactly and how do i fix it?NTLDR is corrupt. The system cannot boot.

Put in the Operating system disk, let it load the files, then it will ask you if you want to install the OS or repair. You want to choose repair.

This will take you into a command prompt, which you can type in chkdsk /r, which will check for corrupt files and fix them.

Or you can find the location of the file on the installer disk and use the "move" command to copy to the proper location on your C drive.

Either way will work,
