HP Plotter Buffer

By jgreer ·
Does anyone know how to configure buffer settings for an HP Designjet 650? I have looked up buffer settings on HP's site and cannot seem to locate any information. A user is having to print once drawing at a time instead of being able to batch.

Using a Print server would really help, but you may try Ghostscript/Ghostview instead.
Basic info here:

It helped me print giant printjobs (about 700MB)within minutes - with some quality loss though...

Good luck

From Status Screen, press Enter. Select Plot Mgmt, press Enter, Queue Mgmt, press Enter
Scroll to plot you want, press Enter
This shows the total number of plots to be created. Use scroll keys to increase, press Enter
Press Previous. Scroll toMove to top, press Enter.

I think, that is not a buffer problem, but plotter memory available for it. Increase memory of your plotter, so it has a capacity to spool whole document and not to wait for printing start and release some memory space for remainder of a file. From the memory your plotter sold with only 16 MB RAM, which is way not enough.
Other option is external buffer.
