I have an HP Photosmart 2575 Printer on a Win XP SP2 system which worked fine for a month or so but now throws up the message ‘USB device not recognised, a USB device attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it’.
I have uninstalled & re-installed the printer & tried all the USB ports. I’ve also installed the printer on another machine & it worked fine.
