I have an HP psc 1210v printer. Recently got new computer. When I try to print, I get a message box saying the document failed to print due to a system error and that I should restart my computer. Restarting the computer doesn’t work. The computer gives me every indication that the printer is ready and functioning properly. The printer was previously hooked up to my laptop and has worked fine. In fact if I stick the usb cable in my laptop now the printer works fine. It just doesn’t print when hooked to the new computer. The usb cable is ran through a powered usb hub (dynex). Was ran through same hub with laptop. The laptop has Windows XP, the new computer has Windows XP Media. The laptop is a Fujitzu (about 7 years old), the new computer is a Gateway GT5014 (about 1 year old). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
