HP-UX performance tuning and reporting

By ddiall ·
I come from a Solaris and Linux background. Shortly I'll be involved in a project where we need to manage an HP-UX cluster's performance and generate monthly reports about it.

What are the best ways and tools to do this?

Is there a small OpenView module included with HP-UX? Are the standard tools, like sar/vmstat/iostat/netstat, available?

You can try GlancePlus for real monitor and MeasureWare or PerfView of Openview module to get the report.

Thanks, but I'm not looking for add-on tools... I asked if there is an OpenView module (PerfView or whatever) *included* with standard HP-UX.

You can go for configuring the system accounting and write couple of shell and schedule them to give day to day accounting.

I think this suits for your requirement.

Thanks to you too. I know that I can put up some shell scripts, some cron jobs, etc... to monitor the system's activity. In the second part of my question, I ask what are the "standard" Unix *tools* (like sar, mpstat, vmstat, iostat or netstat) available in HP-UX to write such scripts...
