HTML Frame- How to set the target on a l

By yousuf_300 ·
I have a problem with my html page. I have created a frame and the frame is just a header at the top of the page that is always supposed to be there. Then the rest of the page is a switch between the toolbar and right side of the page which make up the bottom of the frame. My question is, how can I create a link in the toolbar that takes over the entire page including the top frame without opening a new window?

Thanks for your help,
Yousuf

You need to use the target within the link. Here's an example. Post back if you have more problems.

<a href="mypage.html" Target="_top">Click here to take over all frames</a>

HTML Frame- How to set the target on a l

HI,
This is simple. Just specify the target in the anchor tag where u want to open the page.
i.e. for example
1. If you want to open the page in the new window, <a href="page.htm" target="_blank">New Window</a>

2. If you want to open in the other frame,
<a href="page.htm" target="framename">Other Frame</a>

3. If you want to open in the same window clearing all frames, <a href="page.htm" target="_top">Clear Frames</a>

Hope this helps you.
GOOD LUCK...:)
