Hyper convergence

By kyisoethin ·
Hi
I have confusion about hyper-convergence.
I have read that it is a software defined infrastructure that integrate compute, networking, storage, virtualization in one node.
If so, what is difference between openstack software and software that enable hyper convergent ?
Openstack can manage compute, storage, networking to include in one node at software layer.
I still do not know what hyper convergence actually do .
Please explain me to be clear

I found this explanation on youtube. It provides an overview on how hyperconvergence works

Answer to hyperconvergence

The concept of hyper-convergence infrastructure (HCI) is difficult to explain in a short answer. It would be easier to understand HCI as an evolution in IT infrastructure. Traditional -> Convergent-> HCI -> Cloud. With a software centered approach, hyper-convergence infrastructure takes convergence to a new level to convert storage, computation and in some cases, network resources, into a single appliance. This blog explains the concept in depth - https://www.simform.com/building-it-infrastructure-converged-hyper-converged-public-cloud/
