Hyperlink problem with a PPT run in IE

By AndyWool ·
I have a PowerPoint presentation saved as a web page (html) which runs fine within itself. The problem I have is when a Hyperlink is activated to another web page outside of the slide show, it goes there fine but I can't get back! Using the back arrow on the browser drops you back to the first slide of the presentation rather than where you came from.
I have tried editing the HTML code "Target=" value for the hyperlink using a web editor and setting it to "_Blank" but this only works if the user's browser setting for "reuse windows for launching shortcuts" is not ticked. It then opens in a new window and when the back arrow is clicked, the new window closes and you are back at the slide where you launched from. As I have no control over user's settings, this is no good.
Has anyone any ideas as to how I can hyperlink 'out' and then return to my starting point?

You might try it as a "popup" window that will display the info in a new window. See the tutorial at the following link for additional information

Also, if you used Target="_Blank", it will NOT work. The "_blank" must be all lowercase letters for the command to function properly.
