I am having trouble updating TR profile

I am having trouble in editing/updating my TR Profile.

I, 1) click on the "Edit my profile" link, 2) click on the "Edit Profile" button on the next page, 3) change my profile and finally 4) click the "Update My Profile" button right at the bottom. I do get a message saying my "Member Profile has been updated".

But in reality, the profile did not get updated. I have tried this at different PCs (work and home); and using FireFox and Internet Explorer.

I must be doing something wrong or real stoopid :-( Any suggestions?

I sent the TR customer support an email regarding this. I got an automated reply saying they will respond to me in 1 or 2 business days. I got no reply, so I sent another email and have'nt heard anything from them. So I am resorting to my peers and hence my post in the Miscellaneous section.

I had trouble updating my profile until I used an avatar from outside. Once I chose a picture from somewhere other than TR my profile updated OK.

This is the first we've heard of this particular malfunction. I do apologize for the customer service issues. We've got our engineers looking into the problem.

...please don't apologize. TR has been a great place for me. And I am ready to put up with some difficulties now and then.

Thank you so much for your post! Please let me know how they reply. I haven't gotten around to actually getting my issue to someone that might be able to help me with a fix, so I appreciate your help with any info you receive from them. Thanks onbliss! (I wonder if anyone else is having the same issue. I also thought only my emails were disappearing until I found the "swallowed up" blog and realized it was a TR technical issue that was happening "across the board").

It is now working....

I did not get response from TR, as such. But sometime back I was able to update my profile. I do not know if TR helped me but just did not communicate it to me.

I kept trying to update my profile every now and then, and one day it suddently got updated :-) I do remember that I essentially filled in or changed all the inputs. Test it before you put a whole of lot of information only to discover, later, that it did not update.

There are two "edit profile" links on the page.

One didn't work for me but the other one below "My Workspace" did. I did everything you did but I could keep updating my profile all day on the big "edit profile" button and nothing would happen. When I tried the other link, it did.

Open a thread in the Site Feedback arena. Use the word "help" or "Jay" in your title. They watch that pretty close.
