I am studying for MCSE/CISCO, I have recently aquired an older switch from work which works great. It is labelled as a ‘Madge Visage 16200T’
The problem is I would like to obtain configuration software from the manufacturer to look at its setup configure V-lans etc, basically to learn about switch configuration.
However I will be god-Dammed if I can find anything, MAdge seems to have went out of business, Luscent or avaya, or Lannet may have taken over though I cannot get anything from there sites. In short I am stuck, I have found software for a slightly higher model and it’s manual, though without knowing the IP address I am stuck, It, has an address on it though this does not ping on any subnet. I have tried to use a network discovery tool to try finding it’s address, to no avail, is there anybody who knows how to get config software ( i have tried windrivers) or how to acertain an IP address or MAc with no starting point.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
