    I am unable to “undock” my HP Latitude D505.

    The error reads “Unable to eject your computer ‘cuz the service “hsmport” that controls one of the devices in the docking station, doesn’t support Plug and Play.

      Can you just log out or shut down first?

      Does that work?

      Was this a problem since you’ve had the system, or did this start suddenly? If a recent occurrence, have you added hardware or software?

      It may be faster if you can find that file (hsmport.sys), and look at its properties, then post what the file is specifically for.
