I get an "error 1722" when I tried to uninstall "PC Registry Cleaner"

By argonaut04 ·
When I tried to uninstall PC Registry Cleaner I got a message: Close "PC Registry Cleaner" application before installing/uninstalling although everything was closed. Then pops up a message: There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support or package vendor.
Please advice how to uninstall this application. Thanks,
Gary.

Delete the directory and all of its contents MANUALLY, reboot, then use CCleaner to fix all the resultant errors from the manual deletion.

A few things to try..

It seems the application is still running as a process. Open the processes tab via the Task Manager and see if you can end the task of the Registry Cleaner Program. The uninstaller should then work.

If that doesn't work, or you are unsure if the process is running, try removing it via the Add/Remove programs application within Windows.
