I/O error for vista and Sony Vaio

By lindenphotography ·
I just purchased a Sony Vaio model numner VGN-N365E and for a while was reading my SD cards fine. Now, everytime I try to acess it, it says cannot access due to a I/O device error. sometimes the 1GB works but the 2GB card just won't work. the computer says it's working fine, but i just don't understand what else could be making it malfunction. i tried downloading the texas instruments flashmedia controller, but that didn't seem to help at all. can anyone help me?

Might NOT be the Vaio . . .

Have you checked the SD card in a camera?

The card may have 'died'.

sd 2gig i/o error

by gvscrip.jacquie In reply to I/O error for vista and S ...

I am having the very same problem. My card works fine in the camera but when I blug it into my new vaio it doesn't work (although it did for my husband cause there are pictures on it). however I'm not sure if he plugged the whole camera in via usb or if he inserted the card. He says he put the card in but he doesn't always remember. Anyway...did you find a solution to the problem with your card? I'd sure like to know.
thanks, j
