I have a fresh install of windows XP home with sp3 installed, last week I had windows update install the sasser worm removal tool and when I restarted my computer it wouldn’t boot up at all. It would go straight to windows black safemode and last known good configuration screen. None of those options worked, safemode wouldn’t load either. It would just go to the windows xp screen blink blue screen with an error message for about 1 second. So I used my XP installation cd to perform an in-place upgrade. Everything looks fine and works great only now I can’t access windows update at all and none of the updates not even sp3 shows in add remove programs, it’s as if I’ve never been to windows update. I do know I’m supposed to reinstall them only can’t I get on the site at all, it displays the message page cannot be displayed. Any help would be appreciated . Thanks in advance.
