First, Discussions. I almost NEVER go into a topic and then look for discussions. It is mostly from "HOT", "NEW", or "Posts from my contacts".
Because of this, I have no idea what the topic is the discussion is posted under. Why isn't this listed SOMEWHERE on the page? Ideally where it lists "Top Members in topic". What topic is that? Change it to "Top poster in Network Administration" or something. Can always shorten it to NetAdmin or Gen Tech.
Second, instead of listing just the top tags, is there a place to see a list of ALL tags?
Sort by usage AND alphabetically would be GREAT!
I am still waiting for "Blogs by my contacts" in my contacts page!

Tags help define what the topic is about or what you expect the topic to focus on. According to the blog rounder up I am the ownerer of the Linux tag ;-) 'Course I mostly post about Linux stuff.
(if anyone wants a good gamer laugh check out purepwnage.com)
How do I find all the tags that are being used? Seems like there should be a convenient spot somewhere on the Discussions main page to find discussions associated with each tag.
It only shows the "most popular" tags. Whatever that means. If someone starts a new thread, how are they supposed to know which tags are available to use? Just make one up? I think the first time I start a new thread, one of my tags will be "confused as **** about tags".
Glad you decided to join us. You'll love it here. But watch out for Oz_Media, he has made people leave TR crying and they never return. As for me, I tend to be as nice as possible for as long as possible. People here either love me or hate me, or some are rather indifferent towards me or don't know me. But people here always feel one of those four ways about me. yep. Hi! And welcome! Glad you decided to join us. Leave all weapons with the coat-check girl and grab a keyboard.
Thanks, ITgirli. Bear with me while I figure this TechRepublic thing out. I googled my way in here a few days ago looking for some legitimate work-related stuff but found a living, breathing e-society of somewhat technically savvy e-denizens instead. I'll take your advice and keep my eyes peeled and be looking over my shoulder for this Oz_Media person. As for you, people either hate you, love you, don't give a rip or don't know you, huh?...you pretty much covered all possibilities. I'm from a state where we are allowed to carry concealed handguns so you'll have to excuse me for not leaving it with the coat-checker girl.
We have Q&A, and then there are these wonderful discussions (be careful. even the most technology related thread could hide a political post), and we now have BLOGS!!!!!!! Hurray!!!!!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!!!! Hope you like it here, because you can never leave (unless Oz makes you cry like a girl) BWAHAAAHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
