One of my client machines, a Dell Inspiron Laptop running Internet Explorer 5.5 on a Win2k Pro platform, is experiencing problems with secondary and pop-up windows failing to open properly or ‘freezing’ while surfing the net. It returns the error:
‘theTestTrackWindow’ is null or not an object
Whilst this could be seen as an advantage inasmuch as it renders useless all the pop-up adverts or ‘spamverts’ ;-), it is extremely frustrating when a website’s homepage automatically attempts to open and direct you to a secondary page. They lock up and are, in effect, unviewable.
I’ve checked all the IE settings with the other client machines on the network and they are set up the same but only this machine has a problem.
Anyone got any ideas ?
