IE 8 , feature or frustration?

by oz_media . Updated 17 years, 2 months ago

After playign with the new IE 8 for a bit, I found I really liked teh ability to click and delete addresses in the address bar. VERY handy and easy to keep it tidy!

In almost the same breath I found myself cursing it too.

As a notebook user, I often use my touch pad as I just can’t be bothered with a mouse most of the time. So when I jump to addresses in teh address bar, I click the drop downn arrow, move my finger straight down the right side and select my link, which is easier than moving left to highlight the actual words.

So I found that this new great feature had me scrolling down, seeing my link highlight and when I click it, it has clicked the X and deletes the link.

Nice thing is that these are commonly visisted and a couple of letters will get it back again, but I did it twice today too.

Great feature but crappy for notebook users who use the touchpad.
