IE.5 Content folder

By alxcsby ·
I have a tenacious little virus on one of my client computers. It's housing in the IE.5 folder in Temporary Internet Files. Needless to say, there will be a little speech about why users are neglecting my request to use only Firefox. That and the bizarre URLs logged on the computer aside,
I'm unable to delete the folder that had housed the virus.
I've run through Hijack This, DSS, and several other scanners without finding what the program is that's using it. I wrote a batch file to rip it out from the command line to no avail. Any ideas what's using that folder? I'm out of ideas. I even tried the task manager kill-a-process solution (worked my way down to just the system services and explore.exe to no avail).
It's an XP SP2 machine, and the folder is located at
%HD%\Documents and Settings\%USER%\local settings\temporary internet files\content.ie5\q10lwzo7
(I've also run through the registry and wiped everything that was attached to that directory, and all urls that might be running)
Thanks for all suggestions
