IE5 won’t launch WordPerfect

I’m hoping someone can help overcome a problem . . .

While clicking a Hyperlink, linking to a WordPerfect document, from within Word, WP, PP, etc, WordPerfect opens and the document loads (as expected).

However, if you click a Hyperlink from within IE5, nothing happens. Has anyone experienced this problem? Does anyone know why this happens and a way to overcome it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had exactly the same problem with Powerpoint–try this. Open Windows Explorer, pull down View, click Options. Select File Type Tab. Find WordPerfect under the registered types. Double-click. Observe the box in the bottom right corner “Browse in Same Window”. That should be checked to allow you to use IE to start the program. You will probably need to restart IE after you make the change.
