IE6 Cannot access Tools:Internet Options

By MJA ·
I have a strange problem that appeared out of nowhere. I am logged in as admin and when I open my browser IE6.0.2800 and try and go to tools and then Internet options a red X comes up with a Restrictions dialog box with the following: This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system admin. Any idea? Thanks beforehand.

Open up Group Policy console.
Navigate to User configuration - Administrative
templates - Windows components - Internet explorer - Browser menus.
Locate the setting - Tools menu:Disable Internet
options..menu option.
Make sure either 'Not Configured' or 'Disabled' is selected.
I'm not sure if this is the solution but give it a try anyway !
