IE7 Open multiple pages/open favorites

By robert ·
Hi
I support a number of PCs in a public library that have Internet Explorer 7 installed. At the moment we use a logon script that at the end loads a web page showing details about the library service. I have been asked to either open Internet Explorer with two tabs, one showing the existing information page and the second showing a page or useful links, or open the existing page, but with the Favorites window opened. Is there some way of achieveing this using command line switches or AD policies?
Regards
Robert

Can you just set it to open 2 pages in IE

by Darryl~ Moderator In reply to IE7 Open multiple pages/o ...

Why can't you just set 2 homepages in IE's General settings (Tools - Internet Options - General), just add the two webpages you want in the text box (make sure you hit enter between them) & make sure you have the tab settings set so it will allow multiple tabs when opening IE (Tools - Internet Options - General) under "Tabs" section...click "settings" button...make sure "Open only the first homepage when Internet Explorer starts" is NOT checked.

I'm not sure if it's as simple as that, but it seems to me like it is.
