IE8 setup popup won't go away

By ctdak ·
I have installed IE8 on two PCs running XP SP3. Installation went fine but a box related to IE8 setup keeps popping up. The only choices are to proceed with some further setup, which I have no need for, or to be reminded later. How do you get rid of this annoying popup?

You must COMPLETE the setup...

No automatic defaults I guess

I was hoping that wasn't the case. I guess it's their way of making you decide on some default settings, rather than force defaults on you, and maybe that's good after all. I was just surprised by it as I'd never seen that with a previous version of IE.
