Ignore the Filters

Hi Guys,

The users on my network have some pretty firm opinions about their time priorities and largely ignore emails from IT, preferring to cry later than understand now. I'm trying to minimise the people who have downtimes sprung on them due to them actually taking the time to filter emails from IT into folders called "IT Crap" in outlook. Is it possible to set an email account or messages to ignore client side filters?

I don't know of any way for the admin to force Outlook to not apply filters.

But, even if you could, how would this solve anything for you? Remember the saying "You can take a horse to water but you cannot make him drink"? If people disregard emails from IT, it's their loss and responsibility.

I suggest you:

- Try to make your IT emails as infrequent, relevant, and concise as possible.

- Don't attempt to protect people from themselves.

- Don't attempt to control people through technology or any other means.

- Don't lose your cool when people do not do what you want them to do.

The emails are infrequent, concise and targeted solely at the people to whom it is relevant. Unfortunatley this is not a case of protecting people from themselves, it's a case of protecting the business from it's staff. We suffer as an organisation if the staff ignore directives. I've kept my cool and I don't intend to **** it now, I just no longer intend to allow this emails to be filtered. Thanks for your time.

I encountered this problem before... I stopped using email and started using net send.
