iligal operation

hi to all...

my PC won't able to boot windows.i notice that that there was defect with my memory.i change a new one.i made a scandisk i found out that there were a crosslink. and when open the internet explorer it will illegal operation.thats why decide to reinstall it and still the problem occur.

i decide to transfer the hardisk to the good PC and reinstall the OS. i successfully installed the OS, Office and other application. everything going smoothly.
because everything is okey i returned back the hardisk unfortunalely still the problem occured.i made scan with anti-virus but there were no virus.
is it from the motherboard had a problem?

Sounds like you may still have a memory problem.

Also, it is NOT a good idea to move a hard drive with ANY version of Windows on it from 1 PC to another.
With Windows NT, 2000, or XP, the PC is not apt to boot into Windows.
At a minimum, Windows will attempt to load drivers for hardware that does not exist.

Back to the RAM problem.
Just because the RAM makes it through the POST test does NOT mean that the RAM is fully compatible with your system.

I would try new RAM again.
(If Windows 9X or Me, do NOT install more than 511MB of RAM.)
Then see if you can install Windows.
If not, it could be the motherboard or the CPU.
