By glmb ·
I have created a document in excel. When I tried this document to the I Drive on Win NT Server, I am encountering this problem. "This program has performed an illegal operation, and will be closed".

You could have a couple of possible problems here, 1) the drive was not mapped, 2) you do not have write access to the drive, 3)you've got a version of excel with a problem needing the most recent patches. Most likely culprit #3. Good Luck

You could be running Norton Antivirus 2002 or 2003 with the Office Plug in activated. This has been known to cause mischiefs such as this with Excel.

1)Illegal operation occures, when the physical memory having problems(RAM), to rectify the problem u need to repalce the faulty memory.

2)some times it occures with driver conflicts.such as spool32 error>> when printers are not properly cofigured.
