By scandalous1au ·
OK hi guys if this is the wrong place to ask then please forgive me and point me where to go.
firstly what the problem is a Brother DCP-150C multifunction printer/scanner,A JVC GR-D50 digital video camera, and a Logitech webcam.all three imaging devices report an error in device manager.the Printer?scanner and web cam are connected via USB and the JVC camera is Via iEEE
all devices are reporting an error in device manager/image devices...the printer function works fine just the scanning one fails.
all devices have previously worked fine and all have uptodate drivers.they stopped after a Trojan caused some problems with windows a repair fixed all except the imaging devices.the error reported is code 41.
any help would be really appreciated

I suggest you uninstall each driver in turn, then reboot.

Attach one device at a time and allow sufficient time for Windows to detect it. This will of course involve re-installing the supplied software for each unit also.

I have done this already, I have also installed in safe mode and done a clean boot using only microsoft drivers so no conflicts can occur. In the case of the fire wire device I even removed the firewire card and rebooted with out it then replaced it in a different pci slot.
I have cleaned all old drivers from uninstalled devices using devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices in the device manager and yet still this error occurs.I have now I think reached the limit of my knowledge on how to fix this.Hence the call for help. I really do not wish to do a complete reinstall.but i am beginning to believe this will be needed.
