imaging license

Hi, when IT companies deploy an image for mass production. Is it an unlimited license or some type of volume license that they use.
I can’t see it being a copy of windows that’s licensed for one pc installed on several. When you image pcs you have no idea how many you are going to have to image and reimage. I’m assuming a license is purchased for an unlimited amount not a set number.

It’s a volume license. The more PC’s you install it on, the more you have to pay.
