Implementing MS Visual Studio .NET 2002 EA on Win XP Pro x64

by jck . Updated 17 years, 8 months ago

Evidently, MS VS.NET 2002 versions don’t like to install on a 64-bit OS.

Does anyone know something I can do to force MS Visual Studio .NET 2002 Enterprise Architect to install on Windows XP Professional x64?

Can I use the WCM? Is there any other tool that will mask/force VS’s install to see x64 as a 32-bit environment?

Will I have to go to using Virtual PC 2004/2007 or VMWare or some other virtual solution?

I really need help. Microsoft has been none, other than telling me the upgrade to 2008 Team Edition is $4000, and I’m just trying to start a single-person private software company.

Thanks in advance for any help you all can/may/will provide.
