import info from outlook 2002 to 2003

By progmanagervb1 ·
I need to move the address book, contact, calendar, etc from an old computer with outlook 2002 to a new computer with outlook 2003. I copied the outlook.pst from 2002 to the correct folder of 2003. Opening 2003, some info is there but not nearly all of it.
Also it created two identical personal folders (inbox, outbox, etc.). Make a change to the inbox of one, it does the identical change to the other. Thanks for your assistance.

Start by deleting the outlook 2003 pst file.
Create a new PST file in Outlook 2003

Then use the File Import/Export option in Outlook 2003 to import the data from the old Outlook 2002 pst file.

you would be better making sure you export the date from the old machine other than the one it stores on the local machine. From there, copy that file over, setup the outlook 2003 client for what ever email server you are running, then import it useing the imprort/export feature. That should bring over all email exactly as you had exported it.
