Importing Data to Access 2002

I was asked to make a database to replace the current program used ( Microsoft Works ). I do not see any problems making the forms, queries, extc.. but I have 3 workbook databases they want converted into one ( year 2000, 2001, 2002 ). I saved them as dbase1V, opened them in excel, repaired some errors, and then opened 3 seperate tables for them in Access. I want to know if anyone knows a better process?, and most important how to merge the tables and when I am done with that making a “UPDATE QUERY” to retrieve the information being entered currently while I am in development from the 3 seperate Works databases.
