In access 2007, all my check boxes come up shaded, messes up queries

I have set the default to No. when running queries bases on the checked answers it is not picking up the shaded boxes

Double check to make sure all the checkboxes are Enabled.

make sure they're not Locked either (but I doubt that is it).

The only other time I encounter shaded checkboxes is when a form has not been actively used yet.

For example, I have a Form that has a Subform in it. The Subform automatically pulls data from 1 field in the Form and creates a record. The checkboxes in the Subform however, show up as shaded until I actually click on an editable field within the Subform.

Let me know if this helps. If not, I will look into it further.
