I have designed a form in sharepoint and taken it to sharepoint. Two questions I have is when I try to submit it I get the error “A value in the form may be used to specify the file name. If you know the value in the form that specifies the file name, revise it and try again. Otherwise, contact the author of the form template.” Secondly how can I get people to view it from their side and fill it from Sharepoint Services?

-open the form in design mode.
-modify the data connection and check the allow overwrite check box.
      -republish the form

i got the same error and the problem was that when you first submit the form its fine, and u give it a name,
when you try to sumbit another form, you got the error coz its not willing to submit it while there is a same name.
the solution for that is to go to
the Submit Optionsand you change the Filed
File Name to a function like ( now() )
now every form will be saved with a new name
the date and the time which is uniqe.
      hope this help
