learning the blackberry. I have had palms for 7 years and ipaq for 2. The blackberry is different. There are not as many 3rd party apps for them. We are beta testing with local sych from the desktop. it works for email. Calendar and tasks etc will only sych when in the cradle in this mode. With the BES (blackberry enterprise server) you can sync all nearly real time. It however, is not cheap. But it does work. A friend is testing it in a law firm and getting the support contract is helpful. it saved him a ton of time on setup when things did not work correctly or attachments would not open. As far as the blackberry, I am becoming a convert....... The instant notification that something has happened on my monitoring systems, or a ticket has been changed, or email has come in while I am at a client meeting has been very nice. The ability to quickly reply to someone, even if it is I am in a mtg will call later is helpful. They are not cheap. the plan we are on is 50$ per device, if you do not use it as a phone. It will work as a phone (7750) but I would recommend a headset.
