    How much should be charged for keeping software updated, software upgrades, troubleshooting software issues, software inventory management/tracking, backup management/tracking?

      I’d say that’s a $50,000 a year job.

      maybe more or less depending on the size of the company.

      You would really have to break it into workstation support, and figure out whether to charge per workstation or per incident.

      The response-time requirements would play a major factor in the cost.

      Running backup and ensuring data integrity is a more specialized task, requiring a more costly skill set, and the person has greater responsibility (like being responsible for all the company data).
