I purchased a Dell Inspiron 531 with an serial ATA HDD and a serial ATA DVD. I want to add an additional SATA HDD. Only SATA 1 & 2 seam to work. leaving the SATA HDD on SATA 1; what ever I connect to SATA 2 works ( HDD or DVD ), what ever I connect to what look like SATA 3 and 4 is NOT functioning and the BIOS has SATA 3 & 4 greyed out. Any suggestions. note I do have the latest BIOS available from DELL. Vista Home premium is OS.
