As appalled as I am by this, you cannot install the Windows 2000 Administration Tools...even if you install the .NET Beta Administration tools (Adminpak.msi).

The Windows 2000 version of the Administration tools is not supported on Windows XP.

MS recommends using a Remote Desktop (Terminal Server Session) to run admin...which is a pretty lame cop out if you ask me. I can't believe their flagship OS cannot be used to administer their Mail Server package...

I haven't found an answer about 5.5, but I'm pretty skeptical. Good luck finding an answer there!

You cannot install the ESM on a WINXP Client as per Q312139. You also cannot install the EX5.5 Admin on a WINXP Client.
You are best to use Terminal Services for WIN2K or PCANYWHERE for NT4.0.

Thank You,
