Installing Linksys Wireless Adapters

By courtney ·
I am a windows Admin that has been learning Linux for about a year (mostly Redhat 7 and I know the basics of Linux but havent had a lot of experince with installing new devices. I have a machine that has the Linksys PCI adapeter and have the drivers but need a basic walkthrough of installing this. Has anyone done this? Is this something to big for me? Any help would be great.

Installing Linksys Wireless Adapters

Here is a basic instruction on installing a Linksys WDT11 PCI-PCMCIA adapter card (on a desktop) with a DLink DWL-650 PCMCIA card for wireless access on a Dlink Access Point (DLink DI-711) on Red Hat 8.0. It may not be specific to your hardware, but the procedures should be very similar.

You can also browse any internet search engine for "install linksys wireless PCI adapter on linux" (at www.yahoo.com the search above will get you 1890 hits -- you may find something more specific to your hardware which you have not given us specifics).
