Installing ODBC Driver for Oracle

By akkureel ·
While tweaking the registry of my win98 I have deleted the driver entry for Oracle ODBC. I have also deleted all the files related with oracle. Now when I am trying to install oracle or D2K I get the message:
"Registry Entry not Found"
Is there any way out. I have tried to reinstall win98 on the existing win98 i.e. without deleting the existing win98.

Hi,

Yep, You can completely uninstall Oracle by deleting all the entries in the registry for Oracle. The whole lot...

Then remove the Oracle files themselves...

The re-install from scratch.

I've done this on Win2K and it worked fine.

Cheers,
Tim.

Hi,

I think you've probably missed some.
Do a search of the registry looking for all entries containing "oracle" and "ora"

Look from "My Computer" down.

Cheers,
Tim.
