    Installing Problems

    I had the beta of 6.2 perfectly installed on my PII-400. I download loaded the ISO of release version and it won’t install. Get all the way to the last file zlib(something like that) and sometimes it may even get to some post installation stuff but thats it. Any Ideas???

      I assume that you downloaded an ISO-9660 image and burned it to a CD?

      If so, it sounds like a corrupted image. I find that about 10% of the CD images I burn don’t work quite right and another 10% or so of big downloads don’t quite make the trip intact.

      Unless I’m feeling particularly lucky, I usually just fork over the $20 for the distribution CD.

        I’ve used the same cd 3 times on other systems
