Installing Solaris on a PC?

By jhazard112 ·
Is it possible to install Solaris 10 on a PC that I made myself? I have read in a few forums that it is possible, but you have to have some experience. I dont have any experience with Solaris and I am trying to learn it. If anyone knows if this can be done, or if you know where I can find a step-by-step guide, or something like that to help me. I appreciate any help.

Install Guide for a Live CD ??...

Hint: you need to press the little button on the front of your optical drive in order to get the tray to slide out. Place the Live CD in the tray, then press the little button again.

Restart the PC and boot into Solaris.
