NET SEND

To send a message to workstation named \\WORK1, you would type the following into a command prompt:

NET SEND WORK1 Hi there!

Just hit Enter after that, and away it goes.

hope this helps

You can also use the IP address of the target machine instead of its machine name.

NET SEND \\US007499
Click on Start and then go to RUN, type in the field CMD and hit enter. If you know the name of the computer you are trying to contact you type NET SEND "x" and the message
"x" is replaced by the computer name
have fun, remember that ties up network traffic if working in a large company
